Darren’s paper Aerodynamic Performance Driven Form-Generation for Skyscraper Design was presented at Computer-Aided Architectural Design Futures (CAAD Futures) 2013 and published in the conference proceedings (Pages 315-326).
Darren gave a lecture entitled “Shanghai Wind Tower – Aerodynamic Performance-Driven Skyscraper Design” at MIT, jointly sponsored by the MIT Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Department of Architecture, and Engineering Systems Division.
Darren’s Presentation of Practice Work “Form Follows Performance – Aerodynamic Performance Driven Design for Supertalls” has been accepted by the 18th International Conference of the Association of Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia (CAADRIA 2013), which will take place in Singapore 15-18 of May 2013.
Darren gave the lecture “Playing with Autodesk Simulation CFD for Form Active Skyscraper Design” to Autodesk University in Las Vegas.
Darren gave the lecture on parametric and performance-driven design to the School of Architecture and Planning at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC.
Darren presented his Kagan Fellowship research “Aerodynamic Performance-Driven Design for Supertall” to RTKL’s annual Design Conference in Chicago.
